Question p0108

Has anyone gotten this code before. Some type of Barometric fault code. Like the ECU trying to adjust for elevation or something. It also said something about high input under the (Baro). Would adjusting the rpms on he throttle body cause this to be triggered? Thanks

Your running a UTEC with the V1.7 firmware, its likely you turned the key to start the car before the UTEC had a chance to initialize.. I get that code if I turn the key and immediately try to start the car. The V1.7 firmware apparently takes a little longer to start up than previous.

OH ok, I ususally start the car after the CEL light discontinues blinking so I know teh UTEC knows what map its on.

Yep, there might have been one occasion where you didn't wait long enough, or for some odd reason the UTEC didn't initialize as quickly.. But I never saw this error until I got the earlier beta's of the new firmware when open loop fueling was introduced, the signal is now regenerated and not just passed through.. Occasionally you might get a MAF error for the same exact reason.

Do you know if they will have a "fix" for this some time with a future upgrade? I guess I can buy a scanner to remove the codes.
