check engine light on, how to use evo scan to get a code?

I have a CEL and I used evo scan to try and get a code and it read no evo4 codes or something. any help?

On that page download the program OBD Scan Tech, it works with a tactrix cable

Clear the code and see if it comes back. Also check all the hoses behind on the exhaust manifold. Some of them you need to get under the car to see them. There are three hoses there are most likely the culprit. They are black and striped with another color.

Evo4 4 light comes on after a hard trash and having a problem with it going like 2 or 3 cylinders then cuts out changed coils hasn't done it yet but light troubles me now lil flat spots during boost help a kiwi out and can't download obd scan gt stuk on my card dets
