2.3 or 2.4ltr with stock turbo

ok well im at a cross roads right now. I dont know if i should go with a stroker motor or a get turbo kit? I mena down the road im going to build something big and i thought about getting the Stroker motor but i wonder how it affects the stock turbo. I kinda like the idea of having more displacement, but i also like have a new turbo. also price wise i think the turbo kit would be cheaper then the stroker and in the long run gettting the turbo kit would be easier to get. I dont know which one to do. im lean towards the motor tho.

I would say the turbo kit would be the cheapest and easiest to do.
I would recommend doing the stroker motor, for one reason then you will be bullit proof and ready for what ever turbo you can throw at it just my 2 cents.

personally, if your looking for more hp i would go with the turbo kit and then go with 2.3L (instead of 2.4L) stroker just to give you little room to play around incase you need to repair the block down the road.

2.3L or 2.4L with the stock turbo will not be much fun. It will probably be a torque BEAST, but the turbo is going to run out of steam very fast. Good luck holding 19psi to redline.

You would be better served buying the turbo first. It will give much more substantial gains and you can enjoy it while you save up for the bottom end.

If you stroke it first, you won't be able to enjoy until you buy a bigger turbo.

Seems like an easy choice to me.

FYI- you will need more than 6k to do both correctly-imo.

I just had the exactly same decision to make 4 weeks ago. Decided to go with turbo and all the other stuff. Building a block cost lots of money. If you have someone else do it, it gets to be around $6K with labor and shipping. So if $$ is the issue I'd wait till you have more miles on your block to start building it.
