Case Study # 112 - Why I love Buschur Racing Parts !

Here is a 2005 Evo with a

Buschur Air Filter - no mass air pipe

3" exhuast

264 cams

Forge MBC

Walbro pump

Custom Dyno Flash tune

22 psi peak falling to 20

93 Octane fuel

Note how well the Buschur Air filter works in metering the air flow. The a/f curve is like a flat line.

The changes needed from my mail in tune were so slight that a custom tune was virtually uneeded.

The simple, inexpensive, USA made Buschur Racing parts work well, out perform JDM parts which cost much more and they are simple to install

The 05 is a better turbo

My thought is that the IX turbo will be the best

There are TWO levels of buschur intake

One is just the filter itself as in this car

the SECOND level replaces tha stock black accoridan like hose piece with a astraight stainless steel pipe

I was trying to point out that thsi car has stock mass air pipe and stock fmic pipes

What is the diff between the BR air filter and any other "cone" type filter on the market? Or generally, do you mean that you approve of "cone" type filters over the 1) stock box, 2) Suction Type, 3) etc...

Plus Buschur's filter is one of the oldest on the market - therefore not built around tuning, per se, but vice versa.

buschur makes his own filter??? like he actually makes the material??? are you saying that if a K&n filter or AEM filter or injen filter was used the results would different?

I have found over 2 1/2 years of evo experience that the Buschur Air intake is deadly consistant and accurate in the way it flows air into the maf sensor

I have seen other intakes which throw off the maf reading

I personally am happy when ever I see a car which has the Buschur intake on it - it means that its an easy car to tune and it will make great power
