I mean DAMN..when are people going to realize that eBay parts are ****?
Nothing is absolute is my point... don't belittle yourself so damn much by making blanket statements. Generalizations make an *** of you. Ebay is jam packed with legitimate vendors and products. Over all, it is no more littered with SHlT than this board... maybe even less so...
patience soundfx, like i say, moto17 will be done putting everything together in a few weeks. 2.3L stroker + stock turbo = 0 turbo lag

sorry, I have been out of town and the motor has been neglected because of it. It's going to be longer than a couple of weeks because I have to wait for some misc parts that are coming in from japan, like part of the wiring harness that got burned up in the fire(long story in itself). The kit is the JAM stage I short block and JAM stage I cylinder head. Funny thing is that JAM told me to keep the stock cams???? don't know why, but hopefully they know what they are talking about. I'm staying with the stock turbo for a couple of reasons: 1) out of F-ing money and 2) I want a managable tune will still allow me to take the car anywhere (i.e. snowboading @ 9000ft) and not have to worry about it not running or idling correctly. I'm tired of not having my evo, I just want a good reliable car that is moderatly fast(300whp<my car<350whp) but can be driven all day long on 91 oct.
As far as tuning, I am scared, because I have heard so many stories of people with tuners. The worse thing is though, is that it seems like it is hit or miss with any tuner, as some people love there tunes and others do not by the same tuner on the same day. I won't repeat what I have heard, for respect of the tuners, but I have had feedback from people done by Al, Nick@precision ( with AEM and others with ecutek) and mynes performance, and to tell the truth, I am virtually up in the air with what to do. All I can say is that I had a mail in Flash by Al and was really happy with it. my problems went bad with nitrous. The lesson about nitrous I have learned is this: It is safe and will make your car run good and realiable...........until something malfunctions, in my case the NOS selenoid stuck open when I let off the gas and in a really short amount of time my motor went bye bye. Well getting off subject, I don't want to wrap a bunch of money into engine management, I just want a good reliable tune. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. btw I am tentatively siding toward ecuteck by nick@precision.

Yo Scott! Me, Edwin, Indra, Brian (dynoflashed), Steven (almost dynoflashed) and AJ (works flash) - all went with Nick's Ecutek. The difference is clear
Just have to let Nick know that you want a "not so optimum" tune when your car is on the dyno so that you will not make too much power
