Poll: How Much Did Labor For Your Clutch Install Cost?

Only the labor not the part.

Please do not vote if you did the work yourself. The intent is to find out how much it costs to have a shop do it for you.

Thought it would be good consumer info.

It's costing me $50 or so to get my Exedy twin installed by the DEALER.

I voted over $600 because all the shops have quoted me about $900.

Doing it yourself without the aid of a lift IMHO is a very Noble thing, props to all who did it yourself without a vehicle lift The throwout bearing is about a 20-30 second thing.Just take your new pressure plate and T.O.B. and snap them together in your hands, then see how they work together, then remove them, all while in your hand,or on a bench. Then apply that same procedure to it while trans is installed, piece of cake.As far as trans being heavy, not likely,at least without t-case it is less than 100 lbs, just the angle you have to remove it and reinstall make it seem heavy.Lastly,as soon as you have trans bolted to engine, hook up clutch slave cylinder and make sure T.O.B. clip did not break or fall apart on install as you will be pulling back apart if it did and at least you wont have everything hooked up.BTW,anyone who charges you less than $400.00 is a bargin and should be about as cheap as you can get as I hate doing them, even if they are easy, just a P.I.T.A.
Props to all the Do-It-Your-selfers who did in in their driveway/home garage, all the credit in the world to you
