ok i was messing with my aftermarket bov and i put my stock one back on and i was wandering if the psi stays at its peak once you hit it, cause i hit 19psi and then it drops to 15. is that normal?

You didn't ever notice that when your car was stock? Our turbo naturally tapers due to it not being able to flow as efficiently at high rpm, and the stock plastic BOV exacerbates this problem by leaking more than stronger, aftermarket BOVs.

For future reference, you can find this discussed several hundred times if you search, so keep that in mind when formulating your next question.

ok i just took it for a spin and sometimes it dont even hit full boost, everything is stock, i had my aftermarket one on, i didnt know it was leaking and some kid told me it was on wrong so i put it on upside down by listining to this kid. i had it on for about a day or so, do you think this could of hurt my turbo? i have my stock bov back on recirculated and it tapers down quick and somtimes it dont hit full boost, i have an o5

well, putting a bov on backwords can induce surge...but im sure your turbo is fine. do a pull in 3rd or 4th gear from a low rpm roll...if your not hitting full boost then...i would be worried, but the stock taper mixed with the stock boost controller can make it hard to hit full boost in certain rpm points.

well it goes to 1.5 then somtimes it goes to like 1.2 or 1.3, it tapers, if im driving it hard from first to second i can see why it wont hit full boost, but ya i can be in 4th and 5th and itll hit full boost

I removed several OT comments from "Beavis and Butt head".

The OT forum is the perfect place to take threads off to no where land. Stay out of our technical threads if you have nothing to add. Thanks.
