Need help compression test

I searched but could'nt find any numbers. I just did a compression test and cylinder 1 was 175 cylinder 2 was 170 cylinder 3 was 150 and cylinder 4 was 175.
Do you think i have a leaky head gasket. I am supposed to get tuned for alky with dynoflash tomorrow and i am kinda worried now.

Thanks in advance for all the help.

Did you check it more than once?

Check out this thread, it may help out may not.

I would also do a leak down test.

Double check your test also.

Yeah, I'd definitely do more than one test then draw conclusions. Sometimes some crap can stick on your valves and cause a low reading on one cylinder. I think the service limit is 150psi, but you can definitely drive your car until it's much lower.. haha..

If you don't exhibit any symptoms of a blown headgasket, like losing coolant under boost and overheating, and the car drives fine while making good power, I'd just leave the car alone. No point it fixing a problem that's not there.

Ok i redid it all following the shop manual and i got 175, 175, 150, and 175. Guess its time to replace the head gasket. Any hints on doing the gasket?

do a wet comp. test in that cylinder to see what the cause of the leakage is. Drop a couple squirts of motor oil in that cylinder and if it goes up it is prob. rings, if stays the same it is prob. valves or head gasket, I would also recommend a cyl. leakage test very insightful if the numbers dont go up will tell you where you are leaking and how much you are leaking

What would cause a ring to go bad. I have the same problem that alot of other people have had with oil leaking all around the head gasket even though the head studs are torqued down. I think zues talk about it in a thread im just to lazy to go find it. So that leads me to beleive its the head gasket causing the problem. What are your thoughts?

I know how to do a compression test but how do you the leakage test? I tought this was the same thing. Can you do it at home the same way as with compression, or do you need to go to a specialized shop for that??

Do you have cams? If so, did you change your valve springs and retainers? How many miles do you have on them?

Remove all spark plugs, fuel, and spark as in a compression test the for the cyl. leakage test: Find top dead center of the cyl, you are testing. How i do it is i put the cly. leakage tester in there with out the guage and put my thumb over the air fitting on the line that you thread into the spark plug whole, then i crank motor until the comp. blows my thumb off the fitting where i hook the gauge up, this is top dead center of that cyl. Then hook your guage up to it and calibrate to the desired amount of air for the cyl. then hook air up. this will push the cyl. down.

take off the radiator cap, unhook the intake, and the oil cap. If you see bubbles in the radiator it is the head gasket, if you here air in the oil it is rings, if you here air in the intake it is intake valves, if you here air in the exhaust it is the exhaust vavles. If you here air in another cyl. then you are testing seeping out it is also prob. the head gasket. This will also show you what percent that you are leaking in that cyl.

If i was unclear on any part then i will try and explain please tell me!
