allright, well i was installing my bov(turbosmart duelport), got everything installed all lines and hoses nice and tight. go to start my car, and ofcourse the hood is up. so iam listen real careful to hear any leaks and what not. and i hear what appears to be knock. well it sounds like knocking to me more like tapping on a computer monitor. well i decided to take off the bov and put the stock bov back on. its still there though the knock that is can anybody help me find out what it really is. btw i have an intake,catback,tt instlled. no bc or dp,tp. help guys

 

btw i just recently had the oil changed on friday, mobile 1 syn and the car only has 21k, never tracked or launched.

 

Could it be your injectors ticking or lifters tapping?

 

could be i mean its not really loud. i have to stick my head in the engine bay to hear it. it doesn't sound like a diesel, and i allways let it warm up before driving , never in boost untill she is fulling warmed up. what could it be.

 

yea thats not knock buddy. Your engine doesnt knock at idle. Those are your injectors ticking or lifters tapping. But not knock.

 

Yep its gotta be one of these 2 things. I would think its the lifters though. Check your oil level ASAP.

 

yeah i wouldn't worry about it. sounds like what the person above said.

you would definetely know of you had rod knock, there would be no sticking your head in the engine bay to hear it.

 

I bet its the injectors. They are pretty loud on this car.
