It should be absolutely no mechanical differences, however some units might give higher numbers than others.

some people have "said" the MR ecu had more aggressive timing .... that is why I thought I would as AL as he has seen more than his fair share to comment ...

Can you show us where that was said and by whom? The only thing I've ever seen claimed is that people thought the 05s were tuned more aggressively than the 03/04s when trying to explain the power differences in stock form(10.5+20.3psi+Wastegate+Tune).

They all run the same ecu as in 2005 all evos had same ecu
