Full Fluid Replacement...what to go with ?

Hey guys, I'm going to be adding a bunch of mods I've been buying when I get home and I want the car running in tip top shape. One thing I noticed from my DSM days is how much money guys spend on mods but skimp on fluids and routine maint.

My question is if I was going to replace all the fluids in the car ( excluding windshield washer) what would you reccommend?

Coolant ? ( any additives like watter wetter etc )
Oil ?
Brake?
Tranny Fluid?
X-Fer Case...etc.....

Thanks for your inputs.

T-case = ONLY OEM Mitsubishi LSD gear oil
Tranny = Synchroshift/synchromesh or OEM
Brake = I like ATE super blue
Oil = I use mobile 1, I've also heard Amsoil is pretty good too.

only use mobil1 for your engine, it comes factory with mobil 1 and its recommended, say that you have some warranty issue and u go to the stealership and realize that you dont have mobil1 in your car, they're probably ganna BS you and say something like you voided the warranty and the engine is messed up because you didnt use mobil1. Mobil 1 is very great and we've been using it since the 1st day we got our camry. It still drives like brand new at 30k miles

If you search, you will see more information on this subject than you would like to read. Use the diaqueen LSD oil in the rear diff as well as the T-case.

+2 I tried the redline mixture witch worked fine. But I really noticed a differance when I used synchromesh, much better shifting. Have not tried this brake fluid though.

Amsoil now has a GL4 formula that Mitsuorder is running. His results show it to shift better than Syncromesh... which was the best shifting in my opinion. However, it meets and exceeds ALL OE requirements in writing. I will probably go with Amsoil for the whole car soon as I've had nothing but good things to say in other applications. I've also emailed Jon of TRE about his thoughts on the Amsoil in the tranny x-fer case... awaiting a response.

BTW... I'm using, and can't see a need for anything more than ATE brake fluid for a street car. If you are a frequent track star, you might want to look at something else... but I doubt it (that your car will spend enough track time to warrant "race" fluid). Others will try and convince you that you need this race fluid, or that race fluid, but 99% of Evo owners will never need anything better than the ATE or something comparable.

This might cause some commotion, but I use HKS oil for my engine, gearbox, transfer box and brake fluid. Use RBF on my Sti.

Works great. I get good prices for HKS stuff btw, otherwise I would definitely no go anywhere near those prices.

Tranny - BG Synchroshift
Transfer case/diff - Amsoil 2000 75w90
Brakes - Motul 5.1 (one with a longer life, not a race only fuild)
Engine - Mobil1 5w30

I use water wetter in my BMW - a standard mod to to use water wetter and remove the mechancial fan. Gains a few horsepower but waterwetter does work if you want to keep things cooler in the engine.
I haven't had my Evo long enough to know if it runs toward the hot side or not.....

stpracer said he pulled his mechanical fan, something transverse mounted engines (Evo's, FWD cars) do not have. His BMW probably still has an electric fan (like the Evo's). NO fan would be bad ...
