New clutch installed...SES light???
New clutch installed...SES light???
ok well i just put in the ACT hdss and prostreet flywheel yesterday, everything went fine. i drove about 10 miles home and right when i pull in the driveway, the SES light comes on.
the guy told me to reset the ECU, it drove without the light until about another 5 miles it came on again while i was driving.
any ideas? i checked all the vacuum lines n such and they're all fine.

I believe this subject has been covered already but a search wouldn't hurt. Ahh what the hay......This problem your experiencing is due to a combination of things happening. Usually lightened flywheels will produce more vibrations in our cars and be slightly louder. This is accepted in the racing industry but our ECU see's these vibrations from the crank sensor thinking its knock, leading to your computer spitting more fuel into the combustion trying to save the motor, thus having a rich misfire, and ultimately throwing a P0300 DTC stating its a "random cylinder misfire". ::takes a bow:: thanks and have a great day.
I'm pretty sure that any dealership will reflash you specifically for that. Get a reflash from the dealer and let him know what is going on, they will know what to do. I got one and wala, the code was gone and never came back, untill one day it came on and it was just my plugs that needed changing. Also check your plugs to make sure there not fouled from the rich misfires. change them at exactly the same time you reflash, its nice insurance and I'm sure your problem will be solved. I also have an 03 by the way.
ohh yea sorry BADEVO is right.....check the code first then decide. If its the P0300 then do the reflash thing from the dealer. If its something else then I might not be able to help you so cross those fingers.

Post a pic of what your talking about..... What you describe isnt ringing any bells.
oh yea its that line close to the camshaft position sensor and thermostat housing correct? Yes you have to find a way to re-route that back to the intake somewhere. If I were you I'd get a catch can cuz' from what Ive seen that little line can make things really messy in a hurry.
with the buschur pipe, you do not need that line

He recommends you get that, or you can just make your own.
That is not your problem

to make sure you have to return to stock pipe and plug it in disconnect the battery, wait 2 min. then connect it again to reset and if its gone then wala. But if its not gone then its something else.
