For those who have AFR gauge

After my car was tuned with alky I noticed my afr's are not as stable during idle. When using my tuners AFR wideband gauge during idle his shows 13.6 and at WOT its 11.3

When I hooked up my Innovate XD-1 gauge back up my AFR's jumps around at 14.3-16.1 most of the time during idle and seldomly its 13.6. At WOT my gauge also shows 11.3 just like my tuners wideband. Just want to know if this was normal that mine jumps a bit higher than his and that the numbers im getting is actual safe during idle? BTW Im running the Power FC Djetro.

What AFR's are you guys getting during idle?

Depends on the capture rate of the controller and how fast the display is. My TE unit jumps around quite a bit at idle, but if I log it, then average out the data it work out to an almost perfect 14.7:1.

It cycles at idle trying to constantly achieve stoic at 14.7:1. You shouldn't see a steady 13.6.

Did you do a heat and free air calibration after you installed the XD-1? If not, your readings will be off.

Just to amplify this, it cycles between rich and lean on purpose. That is, even under perfectly controlled conditions it won't settle at lambda=1. The cycling is necessary for the catalytic converter.

+1 my wideband does this at idle, it will also bounce around while cruising normally 14.2-149

I was going to say if your seeing a leaner A/F ratio at idle then when you were tuned then there is a chance you have a leak. but your WOT A/F on boost is the same so that shouldn't be it.

mine will idle at 14.4-15.0 or so, perfectly normal. if it is much out of this range (after reaching normal operating temp.) or holding steady outside of this range, something is wrong, most likely calibration is off. durring idle the ECU should be in closed loop, meaning ALL it should do is vary within the range above. if not, or if you have an ecu reflash or something, it could be messed up.
