ACD Article - Answers for everybody!

OK I'll add to this since this is about ACD (except mine includes AYC 
)
Got the dreaded 3 lights on early on .. jacked the car up, applied power to the pump .. relay clicked but pump didn't run (BTW pump is at the back on the left side under the boot.. and the AYC uses the same pump too) .. for ACD equipped cars only .. you'll see 2 holes that's covered .. those goes to the AYC (if you have it

Took apart everything .. guess what .. @#($*@#%)$# pump is a DC brushed motor .. and all the carbon built up over the years has clogged the pump .. cleaned it up and its ok again ..
Tomorrow I'm going to see if we can get the armature or the brushes replaced ..
Geez .. freaking pump is like $1k from the dealer ..

He states in the article that '04 RS models came with a Viscous LSD. I read that Mitsubishi saved money with the production of the RS so they equipped it with a Helical LSD (Only on the RS model) leading to better handling. Is this true?
