Is the ecu for the acd a stand alone so if I install an AEM I can still have it functional.

ayc on evo8/9?

in theory, does a USDM model have the potential to have an AYC unit installed that will work with the present ECU's? and the current ACD?

Just curious. If so, who knows, when i win the lotto, I may install one... or just buy a bugatti veyron...

alright so i have the 3 solid lights, should i even call the stealership? its been like that for about a year now, and its really starting to get annoying. its only on sometimes, im starting to think that theres something wrong with the damn ACD pump. i did have the transfer case rebuilt a while ago durring a clutch install, the tranny and the t. case were separated, and im thinking that perhaps it needs fluid, maybe the mechanic who did the clutch install didnt (couldnt) check the ACD fluid level after everything was done.

Is it a coincidence that my 3 lights have come on after puttin on some aftermarket wheels?

18x9.5 +27mm offset
15mm Front spacers

Would this upset the equilibrium of the system, and send a fault message to the computer?

70k on the clock, drivetrain flush + Service in the next week or to, I rather not bring it to the Dealer yet as I'll have to take off alot of stuff.

bigger / different wheels shouldn't hurt the ACD. Check to make sure you didn't unplug one of the sensors in the wheel well by accident. Also, try resetting the ACD by disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes. I had the fault lights come on once from running the car in gear on the lift without wheels on the hubs, and disconnecting the battery reset things. Good luck!

If you have an 03 Evo, you wont have an ACD pump...

And to the AYC person question, no it wont work right away because the USDM has no AYC controller. Also, you'll have to do some hack 'n slashing to fit all the pump/reservoir lines.

3 Solid lights.. This thing keeps going on and off.. started out 10 months ago in Idaho.. 3 solid lights on a cold start (when it snowed)

anyways, it didnt show up for 3 months, now it happens every week.. sometimes it goes away with switching the car off then back on.. 3 days ago i switched the car on and off and it was still there.question is.. how much will it cost to fix it, i have to drive to phoenix to get it looked at by the dealer.

whats the reason behind that fault

thanks
