How are we coming along with flashing the ACD? Progress is being made here but I'm not sure where we are. I know they've been logging from it... Can we get our changes back into the unit yet?

Question Installing ACD from a 2005 MY to a 2003 MY - Is it possible?

Hi.

Great write up on ACD, but I still have a question. I could not find this answered when I searched.

Everything is possible, but what exactly do you have to get from the 2005 MY Evo 8 to properly install ACD on a 2003 MY Evo?

Obviously the ACD itself and pump, ECU and switch; but what about the rest? Is the wiring "ready" for this? (connectors already in the 2003 wiring?) Will other ECU start to act up with a new ECU in the car. Steering angle sensor? How will the communication work with the ABS? Etc..

If you think the this is just something not to start all together, please let me know the too, he-he.

Thank you in advance for your answer.

Am just a little confused. So fluid pressure is applied from the pump to the clutches and puts drive to the wheels? Otherwise the car would be running open diff all four wheels are free. No lock? When gas is applied, the fluid pressure engages the clutch thus locking the wheels

please help me

Hi my name is Percy and I have just read your article it is really helpful, I wonder If you could help me out, I live in Peru and have and EVO 9 MR but I don't know why my car every time I'm braking, the brake pedals starts to pump or something like that and has a particular sound, also it brakes less, but once the antilock light turns on in the panel the sound and the brake pedal feel disappears, I change my ACD pump because I had a small accident but ever since it has that sound. in the dash the lights are ok, I mean I can change between tarmac, gravel and snow and only one light is on, maybe it is the ACD ECU, the ABS module? I really don't know maybe the pipes are dirty? I would take it to the mitsubishi but they don't import this cars I brought it on my own from USA, I would appreciate from my heart if you could help me out with this, thanks in advance,
Percy

Transfer case

Hey RICKY01. I had the same question when I was planning to change my T-case on my evo and I have an 06 MR ACD and I got a T-case from guy who's evo was a 5 speed and when I got it all done and took it for the first test drive it worked beautiful. So if the T-case is an ACD it will work the same for a 5 speed or a 6 speed 05-06.

Its possible over time. There may be air in the system. If you get it to a garage or bleed it within a couple weeks you should be ok. Have you done anything recently that involved disconnecting an ACD fluid line?
