Search how to bleed ACD or take it to a shop that can do it. Since you had the fluid line disconnected you'll definitely need to bleed it. Good luck.

So for those of you that occasionally hit snow... Is it worth it to have ACD? I am trying to decide between 03-04 or more expensive 05-06...

BTW, Read every page of the thread. Definitely picked up some understanding on how the drive trains works

Wonder why the thread is not stickied anymore

Of course I would love the newer car. But man the EVO VIII is soooo cheap right now.

I have a 06 evo IX Mr.
The ACD Lights just started coming on after i got some body work done on my front end. The body shop replaced the radiator and a couple other things.
i picked up the car and didnt notice that the ACD light was on until i left the body shop 3 hr later and they where closed. i drop it of and there was no sign of the 3 lights. i even took a picture of the dash before i brought it in.

So all in all i started hearing this intermittent buzzing sound for 3 seconds after coming to a stop then it goes away.. when i start the car only 1 acd light is on.. n i am able to cycle through all 3 modes. i drive off still only 1 light is on.. cool.. then i look again after making it a few block and the all 3 lights are on..
has anyone had this happen and what is the fix?

One of these wires are a big player with the power to the ACD , and a hell of a lot of other electrical stuff! Ask me how I know!

So when I start the car in my garage the ACD lights are all as they should be. All 3 come on at first then clear and stay off the whole time the car is running no matter what I do with it. Return home, park in the garage the next day it is fine.

But then the problem, if the car is parked on any kind of an angle, even just on the side of the street, it does it's 3 lights then I start and it clears. A second later all 3 come back on again. If I move the car to a flat and level surface and turn it off, let it sit for a minute then start again and all is well.

Off to Mitsubishi or is this a more simple problem someone has encountered before?

^^^ What's your ACD reservoir level at? Just curious if it's just low enough that an incline/decline is enough to trip it off.
