Carbon Fiber Drive Shafts
Carbon Fiber Drive Shafts
I talked to ACPT today and they said they can make one for about half the price of the european version. they can have them made at a very quick time as well, if the parts are available they can get them started, made, balanced within a couple weeks. They have been in the business for 20+ years and have been doing driveshafts in Nismo, Trust, Greddy cars and other race cars for 10+ yrs. as well. they are mainly a aerospace design company making carbon parts for planes and the space shuttle. they include a 1 year warranty with the driveshafts for workmanship and bond.
they have tested a few versions of driveshafts and some handle 6000 ft lbs+
If anyone is interested let me know. pm me
i will be getting a donor shaft over to them for the proto type

AMS actually already has one from the european company, the $2100 version.
it will be complete bolt on.
Its a great add on, lessening rotating mass on the drivetrain, which helps in acceleration as well as less stress on the differentials.

Driveshaft Shop is supposed to be working on an aluminum shaft that will have a CV joint built into it to relieve stress. Their shafts for the DSMs were pretty nice and were fairly reasonable. It says it will be released soon on their website. (as to how soon, I have no idea)
