CEL comes on even though I have a CEL fix, 5000 miles later???
A CEL came on today as I was returning home from my girls house. I'm like huh? How could this be since I have a CEL fix when I did my TBE w/cat delete.
overall the car runs fine and all but the bright CEL light is annoying me.
I know its not harmful as long as there arent any other trouble codes present, but what else could it be???
So anyway to do a quick fix I just disconnected the "-" terminal of the battery to reset the ECU and voila, no more CEL....
help!!

I don't see why you should have a misfire code unless you have Cams.
I could be wrong however.
I do know having an OBDII reader makes it much easier to diagnose
problems and clear codes.
I bought an OBDII reader, however from what I understand Autozone
will test it for you for free.
