stock EVO turbo differences

What are the differences (if any) between the 2003-2006 stock turbos, and what are there names? I am coming from the DSM communitity (where turbos have names hehe), and I've noticed in the forums that no one calls the stock turbo by it's real name, instead they say "stock turbo". Also Is there some place that can tell me the differences of the 2005 EVO vs 2003-2004?

Yes, there is a place that can tell you the differences between 03/04s and 05s:

I've already tried searching. I cannot find any thread that goes over the differences. I know the turbo is different, and there is the ACD...but other than that is there any differences? Does anyone know the theoretical maximum flow of these turbos (in cfm) and at what pressure this occurs?

Here's what I learned are the differences between the 05s and 06s....

-05 is the Evo 8 and 06 is the Evo 9
-new front bumper
-painted insides of spoiler in 06
-new wheels in the case of the RS and GSR
-Models with 5 speed tranny have closer gear ratios in 06
-new interior fabrics
-carbon fiber trimming on dash
-MIVEC head
-different tuning
-color matched vortex generator in 06 MR
-3 more pounds of torque and 10 more HP --- according to factory spec
-aluminum pedals are optional on 05 and standard on 06
-06 lost yellow as color option

Differences between 03/04 and 05 that I know of...

-Bigger turbo housing as previously mentioned
-about 10 more pounds of torque and about 5 more HP I believe
-ACD added in 05
-front limited slip diff added in 05, except in case of 04 RS
-05 added SSL option
-03/04 HIDs are standard, 05 optional with SSL package
-05 added MR model to Evo linup
-05 new tuning
-05 no longer will find intercooler water spray

That's all I can think of. I'm sure there's more.

Difference between 03-05 and the 06 is that the 06 has a larger compressor housing as well...according to what Ive read so far. I dont have any hands on experience yet.
