Problem when down shifting?

Ok so here it is im driving back from the gas station after buying a pack of marlboro's and im approaching a red light; so I start down shifting but when I down shift from 4th to 3rd and 3rd to 2nd I hear this horrific noise. I dont even know how to explain it because I've never heard anything like that before. I don't even know what to search for on the forum to see what the problem is? I only have 5k miles on my VIII and still stock, my mods are sitting in my apartment and I need to find out what this is first before I start putting them on.

Is it a metallic 'clunk' type of sound coming from the rear? Give some description.

If you put the wrong transfer case oil in, that could cause and issue. Transmission fluid in the TC will cause it to howl in about 4-500 miles. BTW, dealerships have been know to make that mistake.

The cone filter will mess with your MAF. For basic stock car, the stock airbox will work better, believe it or not. If you take the car to the dealer, you might want to put it back on.

It's possible it can be a problem with your LSD. When you downshift, what RPMs are you downshifting at, also. Do you nudge the throttle to match RPMs?

c'mon, give us at least a clue to the sound. I know it may be hard to describe, but is it a clunk, a grind, a whine, a pitched wistle, a moan, a chirp, metal on metal, a rattle.......

Give us something, so we can relate it to something we may have exprienced.
