Have you tried doing alky tunes running leaner (than pumpgas) mixtures? If you have what kind of results did you find? If there was a thread on this already could somebody direct me to it so as to not take away from the point of this awesome evo 9.

The evo 8 plugs dont work in the IX

Maybe its just fate for us to argue. lol
Last time I checked my manual on my IX, the stock plugs are gapped to .26.
(I'm not 100% sure, I'll check it when I get home)

I think you're misreading Al. I think they re-gapped them to .22

We (Buschur and I) have gone very rich on alcohol tuning as it was David's idea to have the car rich enough that it will survive if the alcohol kit fails - this is a great concept but in practice it places heavy demands on ignition

I can not comment on that - the stock IX plugs are irridium and they come gapped at 22 - that is the way I used them out of the box on the stroker IX I tuned

We are looking to try and get a regular copper NGK replacement for the IX plug

This is not a stock Evo IX turbo it is a FP modified IX WR turbo
