Question which fluids and why??

okay,
i thought of having a thread with any an all experiences with the fluids for our cars in one central thread.

alot of debate going on with what fluid to put in your TC, RD, and Trans. i am at the point to do the service on the drivetrain and would like some feedback as to what you use and why. i dont have any grinding issues either. just time for the service.

some debates were on what to use:

GM syncromesh
Pennzoil syncromesh
Redline products
BG syncromesh
Diaqueen

anyothers??

i would like positive feedback as well as the negative feedback. any bad experiences with any fluid OTHER THAN STOCK would be appreciated.

also, price has seem to fluxuate between different vendors for the Diaqueen fluid. i have seen it for $82.00 for the gallon and i have seen it from other vendors for $42.00 but were out of stock. any suggestions on where to pick up th items for the service would greatly help also. i know there was a vendor on here that had a Redline package deal for the engine oil, trans, TC, RD for just under $100.00 for all fluids. not a bad deal, however there were a couple of debates/bad experiences about the fluid for the TC.

thank you for your participation

No debate needed. Stay with stock, and change more frequently than recommended!!Good luck

There is NO debate for what is best to go into the

Transfer Case
Rear Differential

Both need Mitsubishi Diaqueen

The transmission has more options... most people are using NG synchroshift or synchromesh, or redline.

Who told you that? TRE and just about everyone else reccomends Mitsu Diaqueen in the RD and TC. Im really curious, just because I tend to go with the opinions of people who build EVO trannies/diffs for a living and who made the damn things... Mitsu.

Old School DSM recommendations. Car runs like butta - no more tranny whine on non-double clutched down shifts. I really like the RL heavyduty shockproof in the TC.

Gotcha. I had a 90 AWD and I did use similar things however I went with TRE's reccomendations for the EVO.

Can't go wrong following the factory recommendations! I will only use the Diaqueen stuff in my TC and rear diff. My tranny likes Pennzoil Synchromesh better than Redline.

While we're on topic of tranny fluids does anyone know where I can buy Pennzoil Synchromesh the cheapest? Best I found online was $33shipped for 3.0qts. My local places like Pepboys, AutoZone and Advanced Auto don't carry it. Would my local GM dealer, or should I not even bother because it will be like $15/qt :-)
