clutch problem

My stock clutch feels all mushy and soft now and when I'm in first gear the clutch doesn't seem to engage as well as it use to be, the engagement point seems to be very sloppy and blury. However, when I shift in any other gears, the rmp doesn't go up then down. Is my clutch going bad? Please help!

Have you checked your brake fluid? THe fluid is used for both. go check the line. Did you do the 1/2/3 Then 5th gear? skip 4th, and stomp on it for a while, and see if the tach jumps. How many miles, mods, driving style sure would help!!!!!!

I have a bit more than 9000 miles on my car, and I also have a TBE, drop in filter and a gfb bov. How does brake fluid affect the clutch? Thanks

I don't think my car shakes when I release the clutch in first. But, the feel of the clutch is really sloppy. What can I do to improve that?

may try changing the fluid and bleeding the system.

1st - check the fluid level.
2nd - adjust the clutch pedal engagement rod under the dash

as the clutch wears, the level will drop, the thickness of the disk will go down, and your pickup point will get progressively higher. By adjusting the rod you can put the pickup point back where it belongs.

24k+ and the stock clutch is still going strong.
