I was wondering about which manifolds fit the IX?
I was thinking that they should all fit, but I guess I'm wrong.
I called DC Sports today about their manifold and they said it wouldn't
Fit then IX.

 

thats odd , what makes it different? or a reason why it doesnt fit?

They could just be saying it doesn't fit for marketing reasons?

 

It's the same factory part number

 

Weird, I also comfirm this with BR and they said the manifold on the 8 and 9 are identical.

 

Talked to my shop owner and he says DC Sports probably said that
It doesn't fit because they haven't tested it yet for the IX. But looks like its a go then.

DC is playing it safe I'm sure. They don't know for sure if there were any changes with the EVO IX so they dont want to tell you its going to fit because they arent 100%. However, we all know its identical stock setups so the DC should definitely fit. Of course... dont quote me lol

 

I'll let you know after this weekend (if its warm enough) if it fits. i bought the manifold two months ago and had it coated. i just haven't had time to install yet. i think it will fit fine though!

can anybody confirm if the 02 housings are the same between the 8 and 9 though?

 

yeah im hearing the same thing from different shops, but im guessing they still fit, i guess someone will let us know soon!
