He's just talking about increasing levels of modification, the WHP (wheel horsepower) has nothing to do with the year model. Welcome to the forum Takahashi.

I also run any plug in the range from BR7ES-BR9ES and all different combos within (With and without the "P". I have them gapped anywhere from .22-.28 and never had a problem. Gapping at .28 at 30psi did result in a few misses with the BPR9ES but I could have fouled them. I also do have an AEM EMS with no problems to the ignition.

There is relatively little mystery here.

If you want better performance out of your ignition system, upgrade the wires. This should suffice for anything you can do on pump fuel.

If you're going to use meth or race fuel, have a competent means of tuning, and decide to really turn up the heat (e.g. >25psi), consider investing in an HKS DLI II. Yes, it isn't cheap (like just about everything else you'd need), but with this, one can run 30+psi and .028" all day long.

Already have magnacore wires Ted. I doubt I'll be going higher than 25 psi, since I rely on Dynoflash tuning. Just want a car capable of 11's, which I think it can do once running properly.

Trinababe, we'll have to get together and compare EVO notes sometime. I used to live in Lodi and still get back to WI about once a month. Love to see your car, I'll even buy us a couple at the Great Dane.
