the color's are generally generic. Like 2 blues, a white and a black. I don't remember off hand which is which though.

I think they are 2 blacks, 1 white and 1 blue. The circuit is done with blue and white only. I installed those circuits underneath the car and it does eliminate code P0420, but I have now code P0139 (slow O2 sensor response) caused by the circuit. The ECU starts a test every 35 miles or so (while the engine is running), so no matter how many times I clear this code it comes back again. I'll be installing a new circuit this weekend and if everything goes OK I'll give details.

What exactly is the code P0420? I now have the slow sensor responce code after the o2 simulator install. I don't know what the initial code was, but it could have been the same. Do you have an VIII or a IX?

Depends on the o2 simulator you have. There are different ones. I installed mine by removing the front seat rather than under the car also. If you remove the front seat you can see the wires coming from under console for o2

I actually have the Helix mechanical fix tp, which has not worked on either my VIII or IX. I bought an 02 simulator (from o2simulatior.com) that worked on my VIII, but not my IX. I'm thinking I set it up wrong and that's why I want to know what the 4 wires to the 2nd o2 are.

I drive an VIII, IIRC P0420 was the code I had for removing the cat. The wires underneath the car are the ones I described, 2 black (that shouldn't be used), 1 blue and 1 white. I was told that the resistor value on the simulator was wrong, that's why I get now code P0139. The new simulator should arrive Thursday, so I'll post my experience here.

When you install your o2 hack make sure that you do it on the wires before the connection to the 02 wiring.

under your passenger seat you can find the o2 wiring in the carpet, with the precut hole, near your center armrest. the wire comes from under the center piece and connects to the o2 sensor via a 4 wire clip.

you want to install the o2 hack before it switches to the o2 wiring.

this is one of the better walkthroughs i found for that

The problem is that I have an o2 simulator from o2simulator.com. This is a universal simulator. I have seen many write ups for installing certain o2 products, but all that tells you is to hook the red to the yellow, and the stripe to the........
I actaully need to know which wires are which. I don't know if the wire colors differ from the bottom of the car from underneath the center console, but I need to know which wire is 12v, which is signal, etc...............

Now I understand you, when I ordered my O2 simulator (like yours) I specified that it was for a Mitsu Evo, they sent me the simulator with the correct wiring color, so I just followed the colors, they matched perfectly with the O2 color scheme.

My O2 wiring underneath the car is (as I said previously) 2 black wires, 1 blue wire, and 1 white wire. The O2 simulator had 1 blue wire and 1 white wire, so I matched the colors and connected the simulator, as easy as that.

I wish mine was that easy. We have different simulators. Thanks for the info though.
