I drive my car daily and wanted 'area under the curve' too like my torque heavy STi had. I know if you're not careful, the Evo can become a turbo lag PITA. I think stock it's very laggy, but that's because my last couple cars were modded, and that's what my butt dyno remembers! lol.
After all that, I guess I'm asking for dyno charts for the generic IX package if anyone has them.
Oh no, man, this is nowhere near being just a drag racing setup. This is designed specifically for the daily driver to provide the best all-around drivability, reliability, safety, and power at low cost with no frivolous items included. It is not just a bang for the buck package. It is just all you need to have a really fast daily driver. The proper combination of parts keeps it cheap, but there is no lack of parts or quality.

You will plenty of torque and tons of area under the curve thanks to the turbo design and the MIVEC. We don't run into lag issues until we go with bigger turbos. When you see Girlie's dynograph, remember that it is on a low reading mustang dyno. On a dynojet, shed be closer to 340whp...

Thanks for the dyno chart. Your baseline on that chart - was that bone stock or what? TBE/Flash/MBC only got you 30whp?

Edit - 30whp was from the custom tune. Thanks.

That was pre-flash. Only changes between 2 graphs is tune by Al.

ARgh, come on, boomn, I recommended twice in that other thread that you guys go read Girlie's threads. She gave reviews on the exhaust install, the sound, the launch, and then the power gains. She created a thread that explains the dyno charts and exactly what happened. That was by NO MEANS the power she gained from all those parts. As she stated in her big tuning thread, the baseline was before tuning with the parts installed. Stock IXs on that dyno do around 210-215whp. After her baseline, she got tuned and picked up the power you see there. If you notice, her HP curve was still climbing when they let off at 7k, too.

I dont really see much difference between the stage one buschur has and the new warrtalon package! looks like maybe a bov and a fuel pump... And this wart package is with stock air box and filter???

Yes, stock airbox and filter. No, the differences aren't very big, but this is my exact preference for both the VIII and IX, and the results speak for themselves.

Both.

The mods from the VIII package on my car were good for 12.26 on 93oct and 12.000 on race gas.

The mods from the IX package have dyno'd 330-340whp several times on 93oct and one guy has already run 12.09 on 93oct.

Hey bro, I do not know if this question has been asked but why do our cars cost more for less HP, in your staged offerings?

And what is an LICP?

Cool packages. Does the car now hit fuel cut and tell you to "search" if you're in the wrong gear and wondering what happened to the boost. Hahaha...JK Warr!

BTW...David...did you get my PM about the Buschur/Turd Squirter poseur package? I'm thinking it will consist of a VTA BOV, 20" spinners, Type R stickers, CF side mirrors and a new horn that sounds like 120 decibals of wet Hershey smoke. We'll talk.

By "our cars" do you mean the VIIIs? It costs more for less power on the VIII package, because the IXs are that much more powerful, and because they already have 2 parts upgraded that we don't have: fuel pump and BOV. We have a weak fuel pump, so we have to upgrade that to be safe. Also, we have the crappy plastic BOV, but they have the metal BOV like the JDM MR DV, so they don't have to upgrade that either. Then, with the same basic mods on each car, the IXs are making about 30 more whp/wtq than the VIIIs. I know that it sucks, but that's just how it is.

An LICP is a lower intercooler pipe. Great mod and one that I suggest as a next stage when doing cams...
