Quick BOV Question, PLZ Help?!?!

sorry for the noob question but my greddy type-s is sputtering.

i have the stock airbox and stock intercooler piping and was wondering if anyone had a picture of the b.o.v installed with the stock parts just like mine. i did a little searching and the only pictures i found were with aftermarket intake pipes.

so i call out to fellow evo members to shine some light on the situation.

please dont tell me to search!!! thats just not cool!!

thanks alot!! for any help

We have a search function on this site, please use it to answer your questions before making a new post.

Here was an example of what I found with about 30 seconds of searching, if you search for greddy type s flutter you'll find more results for yourself.

Have a good day!

I was going to help you until you told us not to tell you to search. that means you know you should search harder, but choose not to.

Here's a hint: don't worry about looking for the exact BOV - just look at how ALL BOVs are installed on the Evo with stock intake and stock piping. It's very simple. If you had taken a pic and added it to this thread, it would have been easy to help you.

well thanks, but your not 100% on buddy.

link #1 did absolutely nothing for my question and link #2 offered a smidge of information.

in link #2 it said to let the car fully warm and then try to readjust the soft/hard screw and see what it does. but i dont have a boost gauge but i will try and see what happens.

you dont want it to set it to hard you need to set it about in the middle...if you are hearing fluttering when you release the throttle halfway under boost then the flutter is un avoidable and i get the same with my type-s...everyone gets it

It sounds like you got it set too hard like KErViOsVIII said set towards the middle it'll take some time for you to find just the right adjustment. play with it. lol
