Hey guys i have a question. Is it possible to an upgraded turbo/methanol kit with a stock head SAFELY (lets say only apr head studs)((other mods include: tbe, hard piping, retuning, intake,mbc, walbro fp)).. or do i need my head built/ at least cams? If so what kinda of turbo kit would i buy for my 03 evo and any other advice? Thanks

 

Yes! Do it and enjoy.400 whp- 500 whp is no problem as long as u are tuned appropriately.

 

My car has had an upgraded turbo for almost a year now putting down just over 400whp (no alcy,no race fuel). I drive it every day to work and back and have had no problems at all. I think the big thing is having it tuned right. Make sure to get it DYNO tuned.

 

i was wondering the same thing. how about other things like intercooler and such to actually support the bigger turbo

what is this alcohol control/methenol injection or whatever I have been reading about on here? is it an injector, or like an entire new set-up

 

It is a 'add-on' kit that sprays alky into the engine intake via UICP mounted nozzle.
Basically, the alky acts like high octane fuel and cools the air charge suppressing knock/detonation so you can run higher boost levels.

 

and this is something safe to run if your tuned properly or is it something like nitrous that will be damaging to the block
