It would spike there, I would never let it hold 24 to redline, 23 tops. Now that its getting warmer out its not spiking as much, boost is much more precise. Im on 93 octane, and I actually turned the boost down a pound since I was tuned.

If you don't want as much boost spike, go with running the MBC from turbo to the wastegate. I've had it the other way too - BOV line to wastegate and you get more of a spike.

I've posted a few times on questions about trying to hold boost to redline and never found an answer to replacing the wastegate actuator or not. The only thing I could find was a post that Mike@Forge (who sells the actuators) stated that some of his customers have reported that the Forge actuator seemed to eliminate the boost taper. Other than that, I haven't found jack on answering that question. I believe most replace their turbos before that or just plain put up with it.

Love to see a factual answer but no such luck. I'd be interested to find out something that had some backing to it other than..."that's just the way it is"
