Definitely true. Also as true as the fact that a dyno "tune" vs a flash cannot detect all conditions the car will see on the street or the track. You are saying that running a flash in CT (DynoFlash's HOME state) is not a smart idea?

What do hard IC pipes have to do with my situation? My IC pipes are stock. What sings would you expect from a lean condition? immediate failure during a lean condition? slow wear over time due to lean conditions??

In my opinion the owner of every mail-in flash car should dyno the car before sending the ecu in so that the flash tuner can see the state of the current tune and dyno the car after the flash so that the flash tuner can verify that the changes he made are within a reasonable range.
I did make a post in the DynoFlash forum. Al told me to go get a fuel pump and it will be fine. Fuel pump is on order.

Which actually is a shame.

No I am saying, why get a mail-in when a custom is not that far to travel since you are in the same state.

Well, here's the funny part. I am waiting to go Cobb or AEM later in the year, and I was worried about the Intake/Exhaust/MBC causing the AFR to not be right. Read up on Al's flashes, and got a "mail in" which I actually drove down there for, in hopes that it would keep the car running A-OK until I made my software decision/purchase later in the year.

Ain't that irony for ya.

So you had no upgraded fuel pump in the car at the time the engine blew?

Correct. The car was flashed for "stock fuel pump" but appeared lean on the dyno, so I have been taking it easy while I wait for my pump in the mail.

Actually I was referring to a hard intake pipe between the turbo and mass air meter. I thought in your signature it stated you had one.

Heard the click on the way to E-town, motor blew after I turned around and headed to my apartment. Are you saying it would not have blown if I was heading to the grocery store instead?

My mistake, I thought when you said "Turbo-XS intake" that you were refering to some kind of hard intake pipe, which can dramaticly throw off MAF readings and make Evos run very lean, especially at higher RPMs.

Dang! that is horrible.
This is why I always cool down after few hard pulls when I am driving on the street. I know my mods will destroy my car so easy. And tracking my car won't happen unless I get my engine fully built along with the drive train and all.
