boost problems, help!!!!!!
I installed the megan o2 housing 2 weeks ago and ever since then, im having some really weird boost problems. First, im getting boost creep and only when its cold out, it doenst do it during warm weather. Second,my boost levels keep changing constantly w/o me even touching the mbc. Third, i get out of the car to adjust the boost on the mbc, and it doenst go down, then i get out again, adjust it and again it wont go down. I have adjusted it like 3-4 times, then when i do a wot pull, the boost is too low. I go and turn up again less this time and the boost goes high again. The other night i hit fuel cut and i still have the stock bov, the car kept giving me boost crep in 4th gear!! I just cant seem to set my boost normally like i used to before. The weird problem is that im getting different boost levels at wot passes w/o adjusting the boost controller. Can anyone help on this?!!!!!!! Is it the mbc?
There is a problem somewhere because I have the megan manifold and 02 housing. When it was installed the boost went up 1PSI but I am not having any creeping at all. I didnt even have to play with my boost controller at all either. I hope you get it figured out and a free bump for any ideas or an answer!
Good luck with your boost problems. Check and check again that you have it hooked up right. I had the same problems you were talking about. I turned out that I hooked it up wrong after I adjusted/rerouted my vacume lines. Also do a boost leak check, and get the JDM BOV. Good luck.
I also have the megan 02 outlet and exhaust manifold. I didn't experience boost creep either after it was installed. The only thing that changed with the boost was the same thing that happened to mangook, it would boost 2 psi higher at WOT. But reconfiguring my EBC took care of that.

EVIL_EVO_VIII, I did a search on boost creeping problem and found some post about people having the exact same problem when they swap the o2 housing to aftermarket one including myself. I'm going to swap my stock o2 back on since that seems to be the only way to solve the problem. I know a lot of people don't have any boost creep problem with the o2 housing, maybe we just bought a bad batch. I suspected that it could be the wastegate port on our SS housing is not big enough?!

For some reason, some people (including myself) are having creeping issues after installing aftermarket o2 housings. My creep was out of control, flying past 25 psi at about 1/4 throttle. Go back to your stock o2 housing.

Eve-slow, you have way too much preload on the WGA arm. That is your problem.
For others, another problem could be that the WGA arn itself can spin around 180* and does not allow the flapper door to open correctly if you put it back on the pin opposite.

Meagan does nothin gto do with unstable boost. I can be cause by a pinole in the vac hose, or dirty MBC. I would go to autostore and get new lines and may be swap a MBC with anyone around to see if thats the issue and narrow down the problem. Like been said before the boost would go up by about 1 PSI if all the same remain equal, it would not be erratic.
