I believe what you are selling are 6-blade 20Gs - which I recommend avoiding.

Watch out everyone. You should all avoid the 6 blade because Ted B says so. One guys experience is not representative of anything. This is a good turbo for the money. Clearly that is not enough empirical evidence putting the the 5 blade against the 6 to sway any informed consumer. I do not have any dyno numbers on my 6 blade but I ran the same track times on my 6 blade 20G at 21 PSI on pump than I did on my stock 03 turbo at 28PSI on meth. Not that my experience is worth anymore than Ted B's but the more info the better.

The stock evo 9 is a 16g there replacing the wheel with a different wheel and calling it a 20g 9

That sums it up quite well.

That is misleading, as what boost pressure you ran at the torque peak doesn't really affect post 5000rpm performance (drag strip). Regardless of where the boost peaked, in neither case were you running 28 psi at the hp peak.

And this is EXACTLY why dyno data tells the story, and you have none. You shouldn't be so quick to criticize the few who bothered to endure the trouble and expense of providing it.

IMO based on our testing of the 20G 6 and my examination of the 20G-5 the 20G with the 6-blades and the 5-blades will perform identically. Also based on dyno data these turbos do outperform the stock EVO IX 9 by a reasonable margin. However the difference is NOT night and day - it takes a lot of boost pressure with more octane to see major differences.

Below you can see 3 wheels. The TD06, the TD05, and the TD05 Reverse. The TD05 reverse clipped is what is used currently in the EVO 20G's. It's sort of small. You can do a search on our testing of the TD05 & TD06 turbo on the Subaru's for a good idea of the performance of each turbo. Stay tuned for a TD06 Reverse wheel and an 11.5 hotside.

Cheers,

Gary

Well the 11.5 is just the calculation of the nozzle diameter. The A/R, etc. are other factors. The 11.5 just gives an idea as to the size that we'll be moving to.

Sorry we don't offer the 20G Ti turbine wheel + shaft. From what I have heard this is exceptionally expensive to be purchased indepedently.

Thanks,

Gary

In all honestly we're probably months away from release. The design phase is just being completed. We hope to move to the testing phase late next month. As anything new develops, I'll keep everyone updated.

Cheers,

Gary
