9.1 Compression and Timing?
I just finished breaking in a new 2.3 motor and my compression is now 9.1 (vs. stock 8.8). My AFRs are 10.5-11.0, timing is conservative (4-8 mid, 17 redline), and boost is 20 psi peak but I'm still getting some knock--according to my UTEC.
How much does the higher compression affect timing and knock? I already backed my old timing off 2 degrees where it was knocking but it's still knocking.
TIA

Starting at 11 and richening to 10.5? Try getting a little bit more fuel in there goto maybe a 10.2 -10.3 in the knocking area.
ALso you are using the knock sensor that came with the utec? If i remember correctly they will not read right off the stock unit.
