The Profec B spec is sweet, simple, and straight to the point. Holds solid boost and doesn't take a degree to use it. I wanted something simple and effective and the Profec is it. Setting for low boost and high boost. After installing, with the unit off, I got 10psi. Mind you the ECU is no longer controling the turbo. ECU must give it the extra 9. With the unit on low boost it maxed out at 16, which is cool. High boost I got as high as 23psi. And DAMN does it pull. Sweet thing about it is turn the unit off, run 10psi, save yer turbo. Wanna eat some V6 Stangs and Camaros? Use low boost. Wanna eat some V8 Stangs and Camaros? Use high boost and hang on.

Nobody check the stock boost with boost gauge or BC?
The graph is my guess from EVO8's ECU data.
(It's a ECU's target peak boost. )
Y-axis: Boost (bar)
refer. : 220 -> 1.2 bar (17psi)
190 -> 0.9bar (13psi)
X-axis: RPM
Some body checked it, plz let me now.

I just installed my profec b. Mounted it on top of steering colum on top of Greddy turbo timer. Not my first choice to place them there, but the harness for the turbo timer doesnt give you much options. Stacked they look cool at night. The blue lights set it off. It took about 2 hours, and looks clutch! I have the low setting @ 55% and the high around 68%. The gain is @ 13% and set gain or start boost @ 46 on low setting and 59 on high. On a hot day i wouldnt boost past 23lbs. At night with some ice water mixed with rubbing alcohol in the I.C. sprayer, it's a whole nother story. On high boost @ night I boost around 24.5, 24.9, it constantly changes, so if this is happening to you, just keeping playing with the gain the get the boost as stable as possible. But if you always boost at these boost levels, you might damage the seal in the turbo, which will make it start smoking....blah, blah,. So be good to your stock turbo, so when time comes for a new transfer case or tranny, just slap the stock turbo back on. But...I love the Profec B. It's an awsome piece of equipment at a great price. I paid $300.00 from a local shop. It was easy to install, for me anyways.

Damn, I forgot about this thread. Just popped up in my email.
A lot has changed since then. I've got much more done to the Evo. Needless to say my warranty has been long gone for a while. It's funny to see what I posted back then. hehe
