Ok, so the other day I ended up sliding into a ditch.... I know, I'm a dumbass, don't say it.... anyways, the bottom of the inter cooler got pushed up and squished a bit, plus the piping connecting on either side of the intercooler were also squeezed (think of when you squeeze an empty soda can). So i'm not completly sure that the intercooler NEEDS to be replaced YET.... But my question is that if it does need to be replaced, should I go with an aftermarket upgrade???? If so, is there one you would recommend? Is it really going to be any more beneficial then the stock EVO 9's intercooler? Please let me know. Thanks for your time!!!

Yes, you are restricting flow because the pipe got squished. I would go with the NISEI IC w/IC pipe kit.

Two schools of thought:

1. If you are going to mod your car and go for over 400 whp then go ahead and get an aftermarket FMIC. It'll help you in the long run.

2. If your below the 400 whp, the stock intercooler is sufficient. Plus you'll save some money if you get it used. Someone here who upgraded might have one for sale.
