yes i agree.. matt at slickmotorsports is amazing!! I knew you would like his work. His turbo kits for example are built on evo so they are perfect then only removed/taken apart enough to pack and send out. That is obviously the way to go....lol. If you guys need to reach him you can hit him up at 216-361-1150 (leave message with contact info as he is very very busy).

I'm going with the 20G-9 turbo, although it's a direct bolt-on, would you recommend purchasing the mini radiator kit that BR produces as well?

Even though you need to own a machine shop to install it and have a PHD in structural engineering, you got to admit - it sure looks nice.

YUP!!!! I was at a shop and they were looking at the dump tube. The guy who is a welder himelf said, "is that a flex pipe on the dump tube, its routed back into the downpipe. Who ever did this KNOWS how to weld". I am not saying that just to say it. I was really impressed.

hmmm too bad... I thought they were the best out there...

I have installed over 10 turbo kits on EVOs. Any turbo kit that is made right should fit with no welding cutting or drilling. Its one way in one way out..

there is not much room to play there.

Did you even call the vendor to go over your list of questions and concerns before posting suck a negative, slamming review? It sounds to me like you tried to tackle something, over the weekend with no phone support, and you got in way over your head.

Had you ever done a turbo swap before this?

Thanks for all the concern. You know, this kit is top notch. The highest quality ive seen. So is the hardware that came with it. Just not the correct hardware. Ill have the remaining hardware sourced today. I wonder if the smaller PWR radiator would fit. If not, i guess ill go to the STEALER and get a stocker......Maybe ill just cut out a few rows of fins in the Koyo....we'll see. Also with this kit, you will need to wrap the down pipe with header tape to keep the heat off the compressor. They supplied these gold colored stickers for a heat barrier. Yea right. And for those of you who dont think i know what ime doing......look at the back yard of my house.....ive done 9 clutches/7 cam installs/2 suspension installs/and on and on....so please, i know what ime doing, and i refuse to do it ghetto.......

well it depends....Do you plan to upgrade from the 20G in the future?
If not you should be fine now with the stocker...if anything you can just get a regular koyo and throw it in there. That'd be nice for those harsh track days

First I would call Full race and send them pictures of the kit as you have fitted it and see what they say,
But I would also look at the way you fitted it just to make sure you havent done anything wrong like fit the pipes the wrong way round or something simalar,
Or someone could have packed the box with the wrong bits, So I think some kind or contact is worth while.

I see no reason i should contact them. Maybe you need to re-read this thread. At no time did i bash the quality of their merchandise. As i stated earlier, its first rate. I still standby the comment that this is not your kit unless you are able to weld and be extreemly creative. I am and i will get this going in the morning. I will report back with the proper list of materials needed to complete the install with pictures. I consider this matter closed......................RRR

update: Drove up to Vivid and picked up a PWR radiator. Its quite a bit thinner than a Koyo. Now that i have both rads side by side, the Koyo is far superior. Anyways i test fitted the rad and its tight. I have 1/4 inch between the core and the dump tube. If i flatten the front face of the dunp tube, i might squeez 1/2 inch. I think ill do that in the morning. Ill also cut a small piece off the front motor mount. This wont be becissary if you use a turbo with less than a 4" inlet. The 4" is just too tight. The down pipe is prepped and fits flawless. This makes me happy. Clearance is perfect around the oil pan and x-fer case. I have shield tubing to go around the AC hoses. Hopes this works. More tommarrow........RRR

Good luck man. Bottom line is that a turbo kit should not require any need for extra fabrication. Fabrication can lead to future problems. having to go to another shop to get more hardware, some welding, new radiator, etc, is all just BS. You go out and pay top price for a kit , then it should be a straight forward installation. Quality also includes fitment, therefore as beautiful as a weld may be and as fancy as the material may be it also needs to have quality fitment. And yes I know their manifolds are a work of art

Point is...a beautiful, expensive ring that does not fit, eggs the face of the jeweler... no matter how much one complements it. One should give the jeweler the benifit of the doubt when it could be a crooked finger. I doubt that is the case here. However never the less, one should give them the chance to right any manufacturing defects if any before making a public issue of it.

Good luck... I hope to see your report when it all comes together!
