You waited 1 whole minute before bumping? Wow, just wow.

Not to mention the other posts you've made in the last 10 minutes asking the EXACT SAME THING, then bumping it 2 or 3 minutes later because no one is answering you fast enough...

The point is, no one has done this. I doubt any one knows the part numbers. Unless you are fluent in Japanese, and have access to a (wrecked) JDM car, I doubt this is going to work.

i think it must be because there are people here that live in japan and speak english very well so im counting on you guys and guess what im confident enough to do this and put my own money in this nad will make a guide for everyone else. its kinda like saying you cant make a evo a 2.3 but you can but someone has to take the chance and be the first to do it and im ready!

Well, the difference is that you won't even know the difference with SAYC when that 5k could be spent to make your car a world-beater with some power mods, a clutch, and some coilovers. What made you come up with this idea? Is SAYC worth 5k to you? Do you know how to drive an Evo to its limits without SAYC yet and know how much of a difference SAYC will make? Will you be road racing your new SE competitively?

I would guess to tell you to keep saving up, 5k wont do it, and if you have the talent to do it yourself then you would not be asking anyone else about advice, so tack an extra 2k for installation.

i do plan on road racing to an exent but the british reviews make the SAYC differntial seem just much better by far im not expecting 5k but i have that much im limitimg myself somewhat to around 2k at the most. just an idea to begin with.

I'm not saying it can't be done. I just don't think it is practical. I also don't think 5K is enough. You might be able to get a half cut Evo VII for that, but who knows if the older SAYC will work on the IX? A totaled IX is going to be a lot harder to come up on and a lot more expensive, and I also think the parts new from Mitsu would exceed $5000.

Like I said, get a hold of a JDM car, start swapping, splicing wires, until you get it running.

But to me, it just sounds like a good way to mess up a perfectly fine brand new car.

i do have the talent because i am 16 and taking college courses already so capability is not an issue what so ever yes i am worried because it is the last year of a stick evo and this shall last me throught all of med school and 2 more years of highschool and will never let go of this car and SAYC seems benificiary in my area because of snow and rain conditions. but i am also of importing a jdm evo and haing the steering switched over and a tranny swap if needed.
