03 w/27k miles grinding in 5th

I'm not sure if i've just been lazy and not been pushing in the clutch all the way...but going into 5th.. only 5th gear it grinds slightly unless i really make sure I push the clutch in all the way.... is this what all you guys were talking about years ago? and since my warranty is now void (over) will they still fix it for free.. wasn't there a tsb for this?

Yeah, there's a TSB for it. Tons of people have gotten it fixed under warranty, but it's not free if your warranty is gone. Are you past the 36 month point?

mine does it in 4th. Just took it to the dealer this past week they drove it the service mamanger came back and said he would order the parts and now all i have to do is bring the car in and their installing a clutch while there at it. Im over my 3 year warranty but the powertrain part of the warranty is still good

well i guess the logical thing would be to change the fluid first... but then again... i'm thinking that i may get "lucky" since i bought the car on march 10 2003.. i better get my *** into the dealer.. since i'm still in my 36th month til the 10th...
