Also, these gains were done without raising the boost or dramatically leaning out the air/fuel mixtures--- both of which have proven to be futile on the gas we get in CA (and CO, AZ, etc,.) I'll post dyno graphs, boost and AFR charts tomorrow.

Thanks! We will look foward to your graphs. Does Stage Zero comes with downpipe. Is the evo 8 downpipe restrictive? I'm sure the cat is. Wouldn't it be better to run downpipe/catless and keep stock exhaust to tone it down?

Does it make the same JDM power with 94?

Wow this seems pretty interesting. Vishnu keep us updated on pricing and avaliability. I am interested in this kit, yet can I ask the realiability of Xede. Would it also fit well for the next stages, I believe it will. But questions are always good to ask. I want to ask people who have used Vishnu and himself how strong your products are. I don't want to buy something that causes more trouble than use in the end.

Obsolesteasian,

I'm am not one of Vishnu's customers, at least not yet. So I can't really say for myself how his products/services are. He has been a long time player in the WRX community. If you go to www.nasioc.com you can probably get some answers from people that have used his products. I've been reading that board for a couple of years now, and the people over there seem to be very happy with his stage products.

Well Vishnu, in my opion makes the best quality aftermarket parts for the WRX and I'm sure that people will agree when the EVO stuff is out. Shiv was the first to Make an uppipe and have the thing fit with out leaking the first time around... But hardware is not the only thing Vishnu offers to the market. Shiv's knowledge or EFI tuning and engineering is the key to there wonderful product line. Everything is well thought out, plained and overly tested before it comes out to market. I have installed a lot of parts on a large range of cars and I will only have vishnu on my cars now and in the future.

I can’t wait until I feel the EVO with stage 0.

My WRX with stage o make 223hp and 233Tq at the wheels on a dyno jet.

My car stock made 189hp on the dyno jet.

34 wheel hp of only 1K

Good Well this seems very promising. Sorry if my first post was half assed. I wrote it during class and was half asleep, and still half asleep. I am amazed this car has been out for a month and already the aftermarket is growing rapidly. After I get my old car sold I should be financially above, so giving me the possiblity to perhaps give my toy some treats. I would like to ask since I figure at some point I want to upgrade the BOV/BPV. What is Vishnu's thought on the HKS SS BOV?

Me + Class =

Still, it's really expensive I think. It's 895 if you want to have yours able to plug in and tune with your computer ($100 software). Shiv, how do you guys justify the pricing of this? Can we get a breakdown?

Also, your exhaust at 795 is a bit too steep for me. Cat-back? Turbo-back? Is it titanium?

I'm not questioning you guys because I know you know your stuff and do amazing work. I am just curious why the stuff is priced the way it is.

gtr- The only exhaust modification is the cat-back. The downpipe remains stock. We do not remove the cat because:

1) There isn't much gain involved in doing so.
2) It's environmentally reckless.

We also are seeking CARB approval for our Stage Zero kit. This means that it must comply to OE-like emissions regulations.

Does it make the same JDM power with 94?
Coincidentally, the Stage Zero and the imported EVO VII made nearly identical numbers on 91 and 93/94 octane fuels. The Stage Zero does make it a bit more consistently (and with more torque under the curve, IIRC) since it's not always banging against knock correction.

Cheers,
Shiv

And here:

Air/Fuel Ratio and Boost Level
Stock vs. Stage Zero
91 Octane

PS. A/F is off-the-screen rich by 5600rpm so there's not much to look at. The extra fueling is critical for adequate knock surpression/charge cooling.

Do you have a map for 93 octane? What about one with the cat removed?

I am looking for an PnP tunning solution, since this one is here and now, i am probably interested.

I'll give you a call later,

-Zach

I think Shiv will offer one after he does some tri-state tuning.

Thanks a lot Shiv! If you were making a 93/94 octane map for the XEDE, I bet you could lean it out a bit more and perhaps sustain more boost out to redline...any plans for that? Again, thanks for keeping us posted.
