Quest for 400whp

Here are some parts I bought over past couple of weeks.

05 EVO GSR Mods:

Nesei Intercooler Pipe Kit
Turbo XS intercooler
DC Sports Header
Ebay 02 housing
HKS 272 Cams
Cooling Mist Stage 3 Meth Kit
Greddy Evo 2 turboback
MBC
Helix Intake
Walbro

and Tanabe spring and stoptech stainless brakelines for suspension for now.

I would like to get as close as possible to 400whp and will be getting tuned by al dynoflash. What do you guys think of the mods and my goal?

You got the right mods. Only difference I would have suggested is if you get the Nisei pipes, why not the Nisei FMIC? Way better than the TXS, but you still have the right parts to get 380-400whp depending on how aggressive you go with the AFRs and boost. Al's tunes don't typically have the purpose of squeezing out every ounce of power, so that will be up to you. I would expect more like 380whp with plenty of safety margin. 400whp can be done if you really want to.

Because he doesn't need a new turbo. What made you ask that?

I made 353 awhp with 345 trq on a dyno dynamics with the same parts minus the Intercooller and the IC hard pipes. I have the stock IC and the samco silicone hoses with the stock hard pipe sections.

That was on 93 with the AMS meth tuned with an Xede by Shiv from Vishnu at the Engine Logistics Dyno in Houston, TX which it +5 awhp higher than what I pulled at Dyno4mance in Atlanta, GA. That would be from what I understand to be a .15 correction factor for a dynojet around 405.5. If you want to make the numbers tune on a dynojet. I could be wrong, that is just what I understand.

I was going to Nesei FMIC but they didn't have it in stock at the time. But if you see the Turbo XS intercooler upclose it is top notch and I got a very good deal on them.

I was about to order the 20g9 turbo but figured it was not worth the extra $1000 for ME. I think our 16g 10.5 hotside is more than enough to have fun on the street and at the track.

Planning a built motor and 35r in a year or 2.

You'll definitely need a clutch as well.
