Honestly it would be awesome if alot of these guys would bring their cars to the shootout @ norwalk. I myself would love to see that. This is a good thread though, im always in for some good reading.

Whats the point? Why not simplify matters to the least common denominator and do it on BRs own dyno? Mr Buschur is the least put out then and very little effort is required of him.

I am going to be banned by the time I am done typing, so it was nice knowing all you guys, well most of you guys. You can visit me in the future at www.buschurracing.com

Shiv, if you and I meet face-to-face I have made it very clear what competition will take place. There is only one competition I wish to have against you.

For all of you guys that like to sit around camp fires and hold hands, have a nice time. I am not that kind of guy. I have no desire to shake hands and be buddies with Shiv.

As for the competition you (Shiv) know, Superhatch knows, ieEVO knows and so does smogrunner that I DO NOT PERSONALLY REFLASH ANY STOCK COMPUTERS. Al and I are a team when it comes to that. To call me out to a tuning competition involving reflashing a stock computer looked good on your part knowing I would have to decline as I don't reflash stock computers. Yet another reason for me to chalk up a reason to have absolutely no use for you (Shiv).

I told smokemustang if he wanted to come to our shop WE could retune him as he isn't far from us. WE meaning Al, my shop and dyno.

Any dyno competition is going to come down to who is going to put the car on the edge the furthest, it is has only been discussed on this site a few thousand times already.

I tune stand alones only, no hecidecimal anything, no stock computers that require reflashing.

This was as civil as I can be. If a ban is in effect so be it.

Hey David, I don't think that was a "BANNABLE" post. I didn't know you dont flash the cars (You personally), if Shiv new that,it wasn't very "cool" on his part to call you out like that. I will be making an apointment to stop up there in a couple weeks anyway. Need rod-bolts/ rod-bearings, and we can talk about the rest when I get there!

Talk to you later,
Kevin

Smokedmustang, 110% ABSOLUTELY SURE WOULD BET MY LEFT NUT AND THROW THE RIGHT NUT IN FOR A BALANCED MEAL THAT SHIV KNOWS FOR FACT THAT I DO NOT TUNE STOCK ECU'S OR HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH REFLASHING.

If you are serious about coming by let me know ahead of time and I will see about getting Al over here to do a tune, if you are interested. He was here the last 3 days getting his car buttoned up and all the new tricks figured out. The car is going to be brutally fast. Al and my brother are so focused on going fast, it's almost weird.

You should have seen those two cars in the parking lot on the 2 steps at 7500 rpm and launching. CRAZY!!!

Al will be back at the shop on Monday to pick up his truck, trailer and car to head home. Is that too soon for a tune? He is usually only in town once per month.

If by "we" you meant you and Al, that's perfectly fine by me. It would be nice for all of us to meet and this would certainly be a good opportunity. I think it would be especially positive for the Evo community to see a bunch of tuners under one roof, working on the same car, and showing what "they can do." If you want to dislike me, even after meeting me in person, that's fine too. I won't lose any sleep over it. And neither should you.

In the end, I think its time we put the needs and interest of the evom community above our personal opinions of each other. They've had to put up with our on-line arguments/debates/flames for years now.

Don't you think it's time we returned the favor and let our actions/tuning results speak for themselves?

Shiv
I feel bad about starting this thread now, I understand the differences in tuners, thats fine!! I have no qualms with ANY tuner out there, and there are hundreds of Tuners who are happy with thier tune. Weather Shiv/Al/AMS/Cleatus etc... did it. I have always been "tuner" loyal, Vishnu and Shiv. I just think Me, My dog, and anyone else looking in gets tired of the "bickering" back and forth. This wont be settled, it is something in life that just wont change!!

I have "competition" in my profession also! I just dont call it "competition", as there is NO SUCH THING! it is someone else doing what I do. Some people like me, some them. THAT IS FINE!! I don't bad mouth any of my collegues, in public, to other people, EVEN IF I KNOW/THINK they are a-holes!! I let them badmouth me, and then they will gravitate towards me, and not the NEGATIVE one! That is just life!! The whole purpose of this thread was not a chest-thumping, look at how big my schlange is!! It was simply meant to show (are all the Xtra parts WORTH THE COIN?) lets not go into this, because if I turn on my Jerry Springer-meter, this could go off the charts soon. We are all in the same boat, and should ALL sit around the campsite, and commend each other, and let this "community" unite!
Later!!

Dave,
You could tune it with an SAFC, bigger injectors, and a MBC, right? That would be fair if Shiv just tuned his Xede, and didn't reflash it, right?

-OR-

Al could collaborate with you on this little challenge.

-OR-

You could put an AEM, or a HKS PowerFC on it for the test. It would take a little extra time, but you could still do it. Then you could remove it and let Shiv give it a shot with his tools: reflash and/or Xede.

You might be, If I went to my neighbors house, who I knew was blind, and said "I bet I can hit a baseball farther than you" I will bring my friends over to witness it!! That is about what you are saying to compare davids tune (Which if I read correctly) you knew HE DOESN'T do!! Is like the same scenario I just mentioned, so you might be on something if I read this correctly!

I personally knew Al did tuning at Buschurs, but I did NOT know David didn't tune the ECU's.

I think SOMEONE better just put on a GT35R on my car, and tune that, and see how fast I drive back to Indiana!
