IIRC, the RS doesn't have any active differentials.

I think it's possible that this would fit in our Evo's without a problem. However, didn't the GSR have a helical front LSD?

Actually, I have no clue how a helical LSD is different from a viscous one. Anyone care to explain?

Actually, nevermind. Just found a parallel thread where MrAWD explains:

I contacted seller in Japan and after a couple of days of passing him specs on the US EVO, he was able to confirm that the viscous LSD he is selling will in fact work on our W5M51 transmission setup. It is a OEM piece from an EVO VII RS with no more than 10k on the clock when it was removed. Owner replaced it with a Ralliart helical 1.5 unit.

Actually, the RS DOES have and active-center differential, just not the active yaw control of the GSR.

Like I said in previous post, it is an OEM part and the seller was able to confirm it is direct bolt-on replacement.

I exchanged information with him for four days until he was able to check with parts dealer in Japan to verify. When he responded he was shocked that our EVO came without front LSD, ACD, AYC, or 6 speed. He said we got ripped off.

E-mail the seller if you need further verification.

In Japan, EVO VII RS ACD is an option. Buyer can choose or delete as desired.
