How much whp can I get with my 3071

So I curently have 340 whp and 320wtq with my 05 evo. These are my mods, atp 3071 turbo kit, revolver cams, perrin fmic, works exhaust , bmc filter, buschur small battery kit, hellix hard pipe, 720 injecters, aem cam gears, revolver valve springs and retainers, and 255 fuel pump. Im running on pump gas, 91. Im going to get a full race pro street manifold and have my car tuned on 100 octaine. IM guesing that Ill be around 400 whp on race gas and 370 on 91. Im waiting till july to do that up grade, I have to wait because Im waiting for my tuner, Paul Fisher to move to the bay area, he currently lives in Austrailia. So my question is what else can I do to get more whp out ok my car, how much will a 2.3 stroker kit help me. I would love to see 500 whp on race gas.

go to a better tuner than you are right now. For your mods, the power you're making seems really low.

I dont think its my tuner, Paul fisher tuned my car and he is a freeken legend. The atp kit bolts on to the stock manifold, and the atachment causes a slower spool and lack of power. Im sure when I put on my fullrace manifold the turbo will come alive. The dyno I used is a dyno pack and as we all know it reeds low like a mustang dyno.

I'm in a similar boat as you (3071), and even tried the Revolver cams as well. They didn't give me any power at all, so I went with 264's and am now making 350/330 on 91 @22psi. If you're REALLY going to be in the 500+whp range, you might see some benefit from the Revolver cams. However, for moderately-modified cars with the stock head and MAF, they're trash IMHO.

The 3071 is rated at up to 475 efficient horsepower. You could probably get around 450hp to the wheels on race gas. The stroker should reduce some of the lag you're experiencing and make the car much more fun to drive in the lower RPMs.

Good luck with whatever path you choose!

Im going to say something and I dont mean to sound like a jerk because that is one thing I am not. Why did you go with that turbo kit? That horsepower does seem low?

Man throw some methanol on that car!!!! You will get a lot closer to your goal. Do you have a flash or ems? The 2.3 will add some power but as stated above just more fun to drive around town in lower rpm's. Spool up is greatly increased.

The ATP flow issues come from the turbine housing, not because it uses the stock manifold. The manifold is proven to make great power.

As far as Paul Fisher being a legend, who is Paul Fisher, is he the guy from MRT? Last I heard he is moving to Nissan...

btw, the SRM dynapack reads higher than most bay-area mustang dynos.

On our 3076 we never dynoed it but with a race weight of around 2960 it ran a 10.97 @ 128.90

The 3076 is 52 lbs/min compared to the 3071 being 47 or so. I would guess you could hit around 460-480 ponies on a dynojet.

I will have a new tune with 100 octaine and a full race manifold. Im hopping for 360 to 370 on 91 and 400whp on 100. I tried to have my car tuned on meth but mike at gruppe-s had a hard time with the snow mist kit , so we took it out and then I had my car tuned by Paul at SRM. IM hopping ecutec will have a duel map by july, thats when Paul moves to SRM from Australia.

Great numbers, what kind of dyno was your car on.

Is that 91 octane, or 91 octane with methanol? There IS a difference you know.
