I'm sorry but you did not break loose all 4 wheels in 2nd gear at that RPM...especially with the mods you have.

 

Well sort of. If the pedal is adjusted too high to where there is no freeplay and the rod preloads the master cylinder, then it is just like stepping on the pedal just a little bit. The real problem is that the port that allows fluid to transfer to the reservoir when the clutch wears is blocked off and the hydraulics just build up more pressure as the clutch wears and the clutch slips. In that case you notice that the engagement point gets higher and higher real rapidly unlike a normally worn out clutch that gets higher slowly as the pressure plate is no longer in it's working range.

z-ball dont worry maybe it was just me maybe one to many launches at the track i loved the act clutch it lasted me 40 something thosand miles lot of quarter mile time at english town and driving agressive so it;s proably just that

 

From your other post it sounds like the ACT lasted pretty good. Of course I don't know your car setup (power level, restrictor/no restrictor, etc), or driving style, or what the clutch looked like when you took it out. There are a lot of variables. How a clutch lasts is also dependent on which clutch you buy and what car you have. If you take our street clutch and go to the track a lot, then it is going to wear out faster. It was not really intended to be the best clutch for the track. It doesn't mean you can't use it there. You just have to be mindful of it's limits. Our race clutch would probably last and perform a lot better but it is not the best clutch for the street.

 

It becasue the passes you did the other week at the track. That will do it every time.
