Now, on to the people saying they wouldnt' buy parts from GSC for a competitive call-out. You've never seen Dave be cocky? Never? Dave is a cocky dood, so is Leh...and I like it. Quit acting like little girls, all the vendors have pride and are somewhat cocky...if you don't buy from a vendor because of that, you seriously can't buy evo parts.....or use a vendor that isn't on the forum.
This is gonna be a fun season.

i believe dave even called out people before... sayin' he'd test anyone's products against his own.... i think people remember how those turned out...

So a T2 car pulling a 1:38 and Dave's car pulling a 1:37 is no compliment to Dave's car. But I agree with you, that this is the first time for Dave's car on the track and it will only get faster.
I have said I don't know anything about this stuff, I will make that a big YET though. By the end of the season that will be a different story. T1, T2, GT this and that. I don't have much of a clue about them.
I am not going to Road Atlanta, no time. I am not going to the EVO shootout as it is organized by the group that runs this site and after my ban I have no desire to go there and compete.
We are going to Beaver Run in 3 weeks. Since it will be so easy for you guys to win you should come and do that. Always nice to get another trophy.
I don't know how fast our car should be but any of you thinking that those SCCA T1 and T2 cars play by the rules you are high on crack. That is one fact that I am sure of.
That's all I have to say about it. I'd like to ask that the guys from GSC just take their negative comments elsewhere. It's hard enough to stay cool and not get banned on this site without having you guys here. It is obviously not the place for you. Start your own thread about your own car and how great you are. This thread is about our car and results.
We were "slow" as you say. Well to put it into more perspective there were hundreds of cars at the track this weekend. Tons of serious race cars. Vipers, Vettes, Camaro's, Ferrari's, Cobra's, Audi's etc. I looked over all the times of the weekend. Our 1:37.53 was the fastest car in any of the classes 1-4. The full blown race classes that were filled with the above cars I mentioned were no faster than we were. There was one car there that ran faster and his time was a 1:36.9, not even sure what it was. Car #44, sponsored by Shell. I could not find it, I looked as I was curious to see what it took to be faster.
Also, Greg and Leh, you two need to get together on your stories. Is a freshly paved track with no run time on it, no rubber and rained on all 3 days of the event faster or not? One of you says yes, the other says no. I can tell you that asphault is asphault and if it rains at a drag strip and there is no rubber on it you sure as hell aren't going as fast as you would have on a prepped track that has been dry and run on by many other race cars. Maybe the asphault they use on road courses is special and is always fast as long as it is new and recently wet! haha
Now, let's get back to our slow Time Attack car we built.

You are right Dave, Rubber on the asphalt and dry track is the ultimate grip however, you have an all wheel drive in the wet which gives you a huge advantage over the viper. He will be spinning and feathering the throttle when your driver Robi is WOT. All wheel drive in the rain is a tiny bit slower than the dry.
Also, you need to relax because you are just coming into the road race life and you are going to see a lot and a lot of hard headed guys. They are not only hard headed but fast, smart, good *** drivers and on top all that they throw millions and millions of $$$ on that sport.
You are now in the tip of the game and if you like this sport then you need to make friends not enemies.

dont listen to greg....
i know the pavement that used to be there... hell ive walked the track before it was paved....
new pavement is def faster
and dont compair it to drag racing.....
moving on...
I like David's mew signature !
I think the main point is that his car went to the track - won its class and finished the race - that is all that matters
The rest is just arm chair quarter back internet bravado
Put up of shut up is what i like to say - GSC build an evo and go to the time attack and then you will find out who is top dog
