It’s your first car on the track and you did well. Heck I see teams on the track that come with 2 level trailers and four Corvettes just to run for one session for testing and they have been doing this since the 80s.

This guy here spent over 80K on his M3 and he does not even own a shop(normal dude). With you and your shop I should see no less than 100K on race car

I thought you were going to say this is my car

I wish but so far I have spent good 20K in less than a year so this sport is nasty expensive but I love it.

Holy crap, you better call and order a bunch of parts from us if you think I am putting $100,000 into this car.

Right now we bought the roller for a very low price. Beyond that the build consists of the following (these are full retail prices):

Stage 3 engine, $2550
Stage 3 head, $1650
Stages 1-4 with race FMIC and Tial BOV added in, $3380. (no flash, no fuel pump)
AEM EMS, $2400
Fuel system, $1500
Ported intake and 65 mm throttle body, $375
Ported and coated manifold, SS 02 housing, 20g-9-5 turbo, $1745
Exedy Twin Disc clutch, $1350
BR motor mounts, $80
Poly suspension bushings, $150
K&W suspension, $2500
Wheels and tires, $2,000
Front and rear sway bars, $360
Wide body kit and paint, $5500
Lexan rear side windows, $100

That is all I can think of that we put into the car. $25,640. Not bad in my opinion.

It gets very expensive when you have to make the car light. For example, light panels made of Carbon fiber, light driver shaft and serious suspension that cost in the 7K range.

lol, I am just rebuilding my Beamer head and it cost 2K and that’s with me doing the labor.

David, you forgot to mention the cage, seats, and steering wheel setup.

Also, did that car start out as an MR? Or was it converted from something else?

It was a MR. He didn't include that stuff in the price, because that was on the chassis when he bought it.

Correct, the cage and such were already in the car. The steering wheel is stock minus an air bag.

I'm not up to date on Robi's car, anymore. How does this car compare with his? My memory says that his has a more radically modified motor. Didn't he have a stroker?

Robert's car is a 2 liter. The car are similar. His car is not wide bodied, ours is. His car has a large turbo, ours has our 20G.

Yes, this is the same car that Larry Webster tried to run in T2 last year.
