The T2 track record is 1:38.439 set by Don Knowles at last years Runoffs. T2 cars can now run DA shocks with external reservoirs with stock springs. We run 100 unleaded. The SCCA was nice enough to add another 100 lbs. to the Evo last month.
Good job at your first road event Dave.
Cheers,

moving on...
New pavement is nice but nowhere near as fast as new pavement thats been thoroughly coated by a nice layer of rubber.

And thats a fact.

And regardless of what you guys think is fast and what isn't fast, the fact here is the new Buschur car ran right at the top of the list that weekend. Comparing their times to times on an old, thoroughly rubber coated, minus a chicane setup... is just rediculous. Its sole purpose is to cause a war here.

This is funny. When RRE posted their results of their EVO8 on here. You 2 guys were talking smack about their car, and now Buschurs. But ummmm where is your Evo8.

Ohhh let me guess by reading your sig, you are waiting for a flood one to arrive so you can buy it cheap. bwahahaha

Just pointing out that brand new pavement isn't nearly as fast as claimed by some in this thread because it doesn't have the benefits that older rubber coated pavement has. I've never been to that RA so i cannot speak on how the old pavement was, but from my years working with race cars (everything from auto-x up to Indy), brand new pavement tends to result in slower times until its broken in. Especially when wet.

Hmmm....Is 100 octane allowed by the rules? I read the rules and they say that you should use the same gas that your manual recommends. In the case of the EVO it is 93 octane.

What are you talking about? If you are talking about the Redline Time Attack event, then it got CANCELED at Mid-Ohio. There was no event. They only had practice. The event will be held at Beaver Run.

100 octane for Touring. At the Runoffs you had to declare and run the track fuel.

AFAIK, they have full interiors, you can only balance and blue print the engine and use a flash for the ECU (no piggy back, no stand alone). You also have to use 93 octane gas as specified by your manual. You use the stock valvetrian and block. You use the same size battery in the same location. Same intercooler and piping. You use the stock suspenion. Only a catback may be used, no dp and you keep the cat.

So a T2 car pulling a 1:38 and Dave's car pulling a 1:37 is no compliment to Dave's car. But I agree with you, that this is the first time for Dave's car on the track and it will only get faster.

Go back and read what I wrote. I never compared it to a T2 car. The T2 analogy was brought up based on the time of 1.37 and someone thinking the T2 time was faster then that.

It would seem as though the "if" should be a "that".

Keeping on topic, for the cars that raced that day it appears that the Buschur car was at the top of the field and there is no questioning or arguing that
