What cams to go with?
Everyone can give you their opinion, but it depends on how you want to build your car. If you want to make the most top end, then go with a set of 280's. If you want something more in the middle go with 272's. If you want a monster midrange cam that'll give you a much better powerband, go with the Revolver Cam+Valvetrain setup. No matter what cams you go with you should get flashed asap afterwords to get the most out of them. Brand names don't much matter if you go w/ the 280's or 272's...GSC/HKS/JUN/BuddyClub/ect all make good products and will yield similar results. Revolver is the most aggressive setup and yields the most radical change.

Go to search"Revolver" and you will find some useful information.

REvolver cams for the win!!
I have experience with HKS 264/272 combo on stock turbo and they are nice, but i want bigger. im actually not sure how good they are on the stock turbo but ive read of some huge gains over HKS 280 cams on bigger turbos... im sure they still gain power with the stocker too.
if anyone has experience with these cams help this guy out with some more info!

This topic has been pretty much beaten to death in the forums. You really should search.
First off, it is silly to ask people to compare cams based on the advertised duration alone. For example, a JUN 272 cam is not even remotely close to an HKS 272 cam. Both cams have different profiles and the JUN cam runs more lift, which requires and upgraded valvetrain.
If we are talking HKS cams, then you can generalize them in the following order:
1.) HKS 264 cams - idles good, earliest spool, good mid-range torque, better than stock topend
2.) HKS 272 cams - lumpy idle, slightly later spool, slightly less mid-range torque, better than 264 topend
3.) HKS 280 cams - very lumpy idle, slightly later than 272 spool, seem to make good power throughout the whole rpm range
Now, these generalizations are further muddied by the use of cam gears, which allow you to fine tune where the cams are going to make power and also allow you to fine tune your idle.
If you're mainly interested in AutoX, you will probably want to go with the 264 cams (that's what I would do). They spool earlier and get you good early torque and good torque throughout the mid-range. On a stock turbo they will make noticeably more power, even in the upper rpms. They just don't make as much as the bigger cams. The more aggressive cams will make more power, but will require more driving skill to actually put all that power to use in an AutoX.

i lost so much low-midrange torque going from 264/272 to the 280's that i switched back. i think the bigger cams are more suited for stroker motors and such. everyone talks about how great the 280's are and thats because they haven't tried the 264's or 272's.
